Protest in the Archives
A resource and living document that affirms the BMRC's support for Black lives, Black stories and Black collections, while contextualizing protests against police brutality and racial oppression within the archives and collections world. The articles, blog posts, organizations and videos featured as resources take up the following questions: How is protest against racism documented in the archives? Why do archivists, activists and others document protests for racial justice? What are the ethics involved in documenting protest? This resource also includes links to archival collections in Chicago that document protest movements for racial justice.
